Fahrenheit 451- Ray Bradbury

I'm on page 88 right now and the more that I have read the more that I have noticed characteristic changes from Montag. In the beginning of the book it seemed like he was just a normal firefighter but had slight issues with his wife's suicide attempts and didn't think twice about the society that he lives in. Montag changes when he meets Clarisse and starts to wonder if there really is something wrong in the society that he lives in. On page 37 Montag says, “I’ve tried to imagine," said Montag, "Just how it would feel. I mean, to have firemen burn our houses and our books." This quote explains how Montag is trying to connect with everyone else and starts to rethink if it's right or not to be burning houses and books, and why they are.

Another example which shows how Montag is changing as a person is on page 41 when it says, "Now it plunged the book back under his arm, pressed it tight to sweating armpit, rushed out empty, with a magician's flourish! Look here! Innocent! Look!" This quote from the book explains how Montag is wondering what the government is keeping away from the society, and why they have to burn those books. And finally the last example which shows how Montag has changed as a person is on page 50 - 51 when Montag brings up Clarisse and wonders if she knows what happened to her or if she's seen her. "I've meant to talk to you about her. Strange." "Oh, I know the one you mean." "Her," said Mildred in the dark room. "What about her?" asked Montag? "I meant to tell you. Forgot. Forgot." "Tell me now. What is it?" "I think she's gone." "Gone?" This quote explains how Montag is very curious about Clarisse and what happened.

Pretty Little Liars Post 2- flawless Sara Shepard

I'm back with my second post and I'm so excited to tell you what has been happening in the book so far. I am on page 61 (chapter 6) and all of the girls are keep getting messages from "A". They don't know what to do when someone named "A" has all of their secrets that not even anyone knew besides Ali. Aria went to a pub with her younger brother Mike, and while they were having a good time playing beer pong Aria caught her father eating with Meredith. (The woman who was making out with her dad in his car a few years ago). Aria tried not to say anything and make sure that her and Mike weren't noticed at the pub, but Mike heard his dad's voice and Aria pushed him out the door before they were even noticed. 'I'll get it,' Aria offered. She stood, feeling pleasantly tipsy. The ball had rolled all the way to the front of the bar, and Aria bent down on the floor to get it. A couple swept past her, squeezing into the discreet, partially blocked seats in the corner. Aria noticed that the girl had long dark hair and a pink spider web tattoo on her wrist. That tattoo was familiar. Very familiar. And when she whispered something to the guy she was with, he started coughing maniacally. Aria straightened up. It was her father. And Meredith." Aria bolted back to Mike. 'We have to go.' I was shocked when I found out that his father cheated on her mother again.

Remember when I told you how Spencer kissed her older sister Melissa's boyfriend? Well the next day was Ali's funeral and they found her body buried in the back of Spencer's backyard so it was a very disappointing time for the girls but Spencer's parents, and Melissa didn't care if she felt down and sad. Her parents were still disappointed in her and hadn't spoke to her in the past two days. When Spencer came back to their house after the funeral she saw Ian, her filed hockey coach sitting in her kitchen eating Thai food. She asked if he was going to be eating dinner with them and he said that at the funeral he ran into Melissa and they started talking again and about everything that has happened since the last time they saw each other was when they broke up when Ian went to Berkeley college in California. this was awkward for Spencer because one it was her field hockey coach, and second they had kissed one time without Melissa ever knowing. While Ian excused himself to making a phone call Spencer tried to apologize to Melissa but Melissa just kept ignoring her and pretended like she didn't know what she was talking about. Ian asked Spencer if she wanted to join him and Melissa to go out and get dessert but before Spencer could say anything her parents said that she wouldn't be going to get dessert. 'Thanks anyway,' Spencer said., biting back tears. To steel herself, she shoved an enormous bite of mango curry into her mouth. But it slid down her throat before she could swallow, the thick sauce burning as it went down. Finally, after making a series of horrible noises, Spencer spit it up into her napkin. But when the tears cleared from her eyes, she saw that her parents hadn't approached to make sure she wasn't choking, They'd simply left the room." (Page 60) - A

Pretty Little Liars - Flawless Sara Shepard

My favorite thing about the Pretty Little Liars series is that there is so much tension and drama waiting to happen on every single chapter. I can really relate to the girls by the way that they think things out and what the best thing is to do. I could never do all the things that they do because their all like secret spys and make sure that know one else finds anything about them that they don't already know. The only obstacle that all the girls face is "A". When they want to keep something that is important to them a secret, they never know if it will stay that way or not.

I am so happy to read the second Pretty Little Liars book because all four girls just found out that Alison is dead and the police found her body. Ever since Ali was found the four girls stopped speaking to each other because all they could think about was their best friend in a grave. I am on chapter 4, page 42, and there hasn't been much happening yet but all of the girls keep getting messages from "A". They don't know what to do but they all decided to meet up again and read their text messages and see if they can put it together. The only person that has come to the girls mind of who could be "A" is Toby. Emily is having a difficult time as "A" keeps pestering her about Maya. Hanna keeps getting text messages about how she is never going to feel appreciated from her parents when she stole from Tiffany and co., and crashed Sean's car last week. Aria is trying her best to keep cool and pretend like she isn't dating her AP English teacher. And Spencer is still guilty about making out with her older sister Melissa's boyfriend, Wren. That's all I have for now but don't think I'm not coming back with horrible things waiting for Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily. - A\
